1. Platform Role

CornerCart provides digital storefront software, stock management, and order notification tools for hyper-local South African merchants (home bakers, neighbourhood sellers, and water/gas refill providers). CornerCart charges 0% commission on buyer orders; buyers settle orders directly with merchants via Cash on Delivery, EFT/PayShap, Card Machine on Delivery, or Merchant Account.

2. Merchant Subscriptions & Price Lock-In

Merchants may operate on the Free Sandbox tier (up to 5 items and 15 orders/month) or subscribe to a paid monthly plan (Corner Standard or Corner Pro) billed via PayFast. When a merchant subscribes to a paid plan, their monthly rate is locked in while their subscription remains active.

3. Water & Gas Container Refills

When a buyer selects "I left my empty bottles outside — please fetch and refill", the buyer agrees to place clean, undamaged containers in an accessible location outside their unit or house prior to the merchant's scheduled collection run.
